| Abstract: | Compressional-wave velocities were measured parallel and perpendicular to bedding in five Gulf Coast carbonate samples at atmospheric pressure. In general, the horizontal velocities exceeded the vertical velocities, with anisotropy ranging from 0 to 7%. The fabric of the most anisotropic sample, while weak, appears to be related to the velocity behavior. |
