Summary:Views of cities (15 x 35 mm or smaller) and 1 map (17 x 29 mm) spread out in front of a tree with branches; pictorial scene with people at ground level.
Depicts towns and territories ceded to the French by the Dutch and Spanish in the Treaties of Nijmegen, a series of treaties signed in the Dutch city of Nijmegen between August 1678 and December 1679 after the Franco-Dutch War (1672-1678). France took control over the region of the Franche-Comté (the Imperial County of Burgundy). Also further territories of the Spanish Netherlands, including the town of Saint-Omer, the lands of Cassel, Aire and Ypres in southwestern Flanders, the Bishopric of Cambrai, as well as the towns of Valenciennes and Maubeuge in the southern County of Hainaut.
