Description
Summary:	Jake Sully is a former Marine confined to a wheelchair. But despite his broken body, Jake is still a warrior at heart. After Jake's twin brother is murdered, the brother's employers recruit Jake as a replacement to travel light years to the human outpost on Pandora, where a corporate consortium is mining a rare mineral that is the key to solving Earth's energy crisis. Initially Sully works with a group of scientists and their clones of near-duplicates of the planet's sentient inhabitants, the Na'vi. The clones are bodies whom specially trained scientists can control mentally. But scientific motives clash with military-industrial motives, and plans to foster peace between the corporation and the natives are sacrificed by the corporation's plan to mine the mineral--at any cost. With Jake's avatar body giving him back the feeling of using legs, he revels in his mission to infiltrate the Na'vi, who have become a major obstacle to mining the precious ore. But everything changes when a beautiful Na'vi female, Neytiri, saves Jake's life.
