This edition of "Ivanhoe" has two issues: In the first issue, only the first volume is altered, and can be identified by the press mark 9 on page iii, and on page iv, line 6 the first word "Peter". In the second issue where there are 2 variants, the press mark on page iii is either 2 or not present, and on page iv, line 6 the first words are "St Peter".-- Cf. Todd and Bowden.
