At end of text: "Cette tirade en bouts rimés a été composée par Monsieur Bourru dans un accès de mauvaise humeur." "Bourru" is written in bold letters; possibly a pseudonym. On page [1]: "La libéraliade, petit poème en bouts rimés, dédié à Monsieur de Rouvroy, officier supérieur aux gardes du corps, par un rimailleur de ses amis qui a voilu de faire poète ..." "Monsieur Rouvroy" = Albert-Joseph de Rouvroy, baron of Fournes, military officer, superior officer of the First Empire (from French Wikipedia). The bottom of the spine has title: Farce legislative 1818 1819. However, the dates given in the manuscript are 1828 and 1829. |
