Item Description:Colophon: "Printed for members of The Roxburghe Club by their friends of The Zamorano Club on the occasion of their joint meeting in San Francisco in November 2014. Aldus is the font used on the title. Aldus Manutius established his Aldine Press in Venice in 1495. Aldus took as his symbol the image of a dolphin around an anchor, which was derived from an ancient Roman coin, a silver denarius. Bembo is the serif font used in the body. It is a twentieth-century revival of a typeface originally cut by Francesco Griffo around 1495 for the Aldine Press ... The publication has been printed digitally in an edition of 300 copies. Designed and printed at The Castle Press, Pasadena, California. October 2014."
Frontispiece is a color photo reproduction of the title page of Antiquitatum Romanarum Pauli Manutii, printed in Venice at the Aldine Press in 1569.
