| Item Description: | Founded in 1977 by Bette (born Peter) Bourne, and based in Notting Hill, London, Bloolips was a gay cabaret and drag acting troupe who performed in the UK and internationally over the next 25 years. Most of the shows were written by playwright Jon Taylor (Jon-Jon) with titles such as Lust in Space, Sticky Buns and The Ugly Duckling. The Cushing Library/Women & Gender Studies copy was acquired as part of The Don Kelly Research Collection of Gay Literature and Culture. |
