The Town talk was originally published irregularly, though advertised as weekly, in nine numbers from Dec. 17, 1715-Feb. 13, 1716. No. 9 announces the next paper will be published on the following Wednesday, but there is every reason for believing that it did not appear. It was written by Steele.
The Plebeian was originally published in four papers from March 14-April 6, 1719, by Sir Richard Steele and Robert Benson, Baron Bingley.
The Old Whig originally appeared in 2 numbers, March 19, 1178-April 2, 1719 and was written by Addison.
The Spinster is complete in one number published Dec. 19, 1719. It was written by Steele.
