| Item Description: | "Colophon: this project was organized by the Silver Buckle Press, a working museum of historic printing equipment held within the U.W.-Madison Libraries. Label and title sections were printed at the Press by Barbara Tetenbaum, Caryl Herfort & Anna Hepler. The boxes were constructed at BookLab under the direction of Priscilla Spitler." Artist's book comprising 38 loose-leaves arranged in four parallel sequences one above the other. The sequences depict heads, torsos, pelvis and legs and are viewed together to make up a complete human figure. The cards can be arranged in any combination to construct various human forms. Consists of a series of printed cards, the work of various artists at various presses, representing parts of the body (as in the children's game), arranged in the case to suggest a corpse in a coffin. Contained in a solander box of cloth covered boards in turquoise, black, dark red and mustard divided into four compartments. Each leaf is by a different artist and press, each is individually signed and numbered. Limited edition of 100 copies.
