| Item Description: | Edition of 125--Colophon. Half-title includes title-vignette. Subtitle printed in red, bracketing author's name. Printer's note by Greg Peterson; introduction by Donald Kennedy; photographs of the Stanford campus by Joel Simon. Stauffacher collaborated with Balkwill and Peterson on the design of the book. "Printed ... by Greg Peterson and John Balkwill. The printing was done letterpress on Mohawk Superfine White paper using a Vandercook 4 press. The text was set in Monotype Dante by Harold Berliner's Typefoundry, Nevada City, California. The titling is handset Albertus. The photographs were printed by the photogravure process by Jonathan Clark of Mountain View, California. 100 copies of the book were handsewn into wrappers. 25 copies were bound by hand in full leather and encased in double-tray, drop-spine boxes. The binding work was done at Booklab in Austin, Texas under the direction of Craig Jensen."--Colophon.
