Description
Summary:This research sought to determine the relative contributions of two factors on marksmanship performance. One factor, shot group size, is an index of a soldier's ability to apply the fundamentals of rifle marksmanship (aiming, trigger squeeze, etc.). The other factor, rifle zero, is an index of how well a soldier can place his or her shot group in reference to an aiming point (e.g., center of a target). Our objective was to determine whether one of the factors was more responsible for poor marksmanship performance than the other. Keywords: Silhouette targets.
