Shows the river Meuse, people in local garb, animals, boats, fortifications, buildings, hills, trees, and farmland. Shows the Gothic collegiate church of Notre-Dame. Cartouche in lower left corner in Latin. Index identifying ten key places depicted in the view in upper right quadrant. Decorative crests at top center and top left. Text on verso begins with decorative initial "H". Has plate number "19" in lower right. Last line of text "besihe ... Buchs." Separated from Part 2 of a German edition of Braun & Hogenberg's "Civitates orbis terrarum", published between 1586 and 1620. The Cushing Library copy is part of the Ronald L. and V. Jane Woellhof Rare Map Collection.
