| Abstract: | In suitable terrain, the tank is an ideal weapon for the favorite envelopment tactics of the Japanese, although the Japanese had only made limited use of tanks (up until WWII). The Japanese organization (armored divisions and non-division units), tactics (general doctrine, tanks in infantry support, principles of infantry support, special tactical situations), and equipment (tankettes, light/medium/heavy tanks, armored cars, armament) are detailed in this document. |
