Item Description:Leather bag that opens from the top, has one metal handle and several leather straps that can be added or removed to the bag. The bag has many leather loops sewn into it to stabilize instruments.
40 pieces; The bag contains a retractor, twelve types of forceps (of various sizes and shapes), two catheters, a small metal rod with a probe end, a small metal spatula, a pointed hooked prove, two springs, one syringe filler, six vaginal speculums, one rectal speculum, one uterine sound, one large vectis, one small curette, one curette with the loop broken off, two spiral curette and evacuators (small, blunt and large, blunt), two extra leather straps, and a stack of 10 Louisiana State Board of Health Official Prescription Forms.
Dr. J.D. Everett was a physician in Texas in the 1880s-1900s. His family donated this collection to the Medical Sciences Library, Texas A&M University in October 2015.
