One copy examined also has publisher's advert tipped in on ffep for Gamgee's "A system of horse-shoeing" (although I cannot trace any copies of this book) and 8pp. of publisher's adverts at the end, many for other titles by the Gamgee brothers, including another untraceable one, "History and mechanism of the horse"; the plates in this book are for the Brittany breed of cattle being a cow, bull and a picture of a Brittany dairy; they are often found to be stained, presumably due to the poor quality of the paper they were be printed on. Uncommon; not in RCVS. Printer's imprint: "Edinburgh: Printed by R. and R. Clark" |
