Description
Summary:Niall Kenny description: Pagination errors: 236 as given as '263', iii as 'iv', iv as 'vi'; odd gatherings as the signatures alternate between A and B for the first five leaves although the catch-words are correct, have assumed is 'B' gathering. Uncertain when printed but possibly in 1770 (dated from book adverts at end); Dingley 251 (=Mellon 53) is clearly a different printing. Huth has the 1795 edition by J.(sic.) Fairfax; also of interest is that among the adverts in this copy is one for J. Thompson's "The Complete Horse Doctor." There is a poem below the author's name on the title page, "A sportsman's skill, whoever means to claim, Must read our book, and then he'll know his game ..."
