Description
Summary:Niall Kenny description: Title claims there are 10 figures but these are always found on 8 leaves; page iv is marked as 'v'; these editions by Frobisher are pirated (see Dingley p.38) but much more scarce than the pirated "Taplin Improved" works. Indeed the "Taplin improved; or, a compendium of farriery.." is actually an identical book, simply with a slightly different title page. The first Taplin printing of 1790 also includes the same pagination error but it is corrected by the 1792 printing. ESTC listing is really confused as they don't note the pagination error on p iv.
