Abstract:ABSTRACT: Two consecutive 24-hour quantitative urinalyses were performed on twelve healthy cats in order to determine normal values for endogenous creatinine clearance, protein excretion, and excretion, clearance, and fractional clearance of calcium, phosphate, sodium, potassium, and chloride. Determination of radionuclide (⁹⁹mTC(Sn)DTPA) clearance was made immediately following the second quantitative urinalysis and results were used to verify the value of 24-hour endogenous creatinine clearance as an estimate of glomerular filtration rate in the cat.
