Description
Summary:Niall Kenny description: Dated from dedication. Pagination error: page 163 as '159'. Scarce. Several variants seem to exist. Comben had one printing with the title page printed as 1810 but altered to 1819 by hand, and the date on dedication scratched out. His copy also lacked the advert leaf, and list of subscribers was moved to the end. The type-set was also different, so perhaps his was a proof copy or possibly a 2nd edition. Wellcome copy might be a another variant as seems not to have the author's name on title page based on the collation. Dedication signed "John Shipp, Veterinary Surgeon to the 11th and 23d Regiments of Light Dragoons. Leeds, July 3d, 1806." Printer's imprint: "Edward Baines, Printer, Leeds."
