Stressing the rich vocabulary of forms and colors, the artist labels them landscape paintings, and juxtaposes these works with a set of sculptures, small figures interacting with elements such as potatoes or a spoon in the second gallery of the twin exhibitions documented here. Grouped around a mirror pond framed by potted plants, these witty inventions in gesso react to another form of siren call.
