545 0 |a K. Jayakrishna is an Associate professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering at the Vellore Institute of Technology University, India. Dr. Jayakrishna's research is focused on the design and management of manufacturing systems and supply chains to enhance efficiency, productivity and sustainability performance. More recent research is in the area of developing tools and techniques to enable value creation through sustainable manufacturing, including methods to facilitate more sustainable product design for closed-loop material flow in industrial symbiotic setup, and developing sustainable products using hybrid bio composites. He has mentored undergraduate and graduate students (2 M.Tech Thesis and 24 B.Tech Thesis) which have so far led to 40 journal publications in leading SCI/ SCOPUS Indexed journals, 17 book chapters, and 85 refereed conference proceedings. Dr. Jayakrishna's team has received numerous awards in recognition for the quality of the work that has been produced. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in the manufacturing and industrial systems area and his initiatives to improve teaching effectiveness have been recognized through national awards. He has also been awarded Institution of Engineers (India)-Young Engineer Award in 2019 and Distinguished Researcher Award in the field of Sustainable Systems Engineering in 2019 by International Institute of Organized Research. Vimal KEK received the Ph.D. degree in Sustainable Manufacturing in 2016 and the M.Tech degree in Industrial Engineering in 2012 from National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, India, the bachelor's degree in Production Engineering in 2010, from the PSG College of Technology, India. He has more than nine years of teaching and research experience in Mechanical Engineering with special emphasis on sustainability and environment-conscious manufacturing. He also has interests in operations and advanced manufacturing concepts, namely: lean and agile manufacturing. He has worked asGuest Editor of International journals of Enterprise Network Management and Polymer & Polymer Composites. Presently, he acts as a reviewer for more than 10 prestigious Web of Science journals. Besides, he has also published as the author (and co-author) more than 8 book chapters and 40 articles in journals and conferences. He is currently working as Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Patna, India S. Aravind Raj is currently working as Associate Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering at the Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore, India. He received his doctorate degree in Industrial Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli in 2014. His research area is focused on Agile manufacturing process and their applications in manufacturing industries. Recent work focuses on Industrial Engineering, Additive Manufacturing, Industry 4.0 projects. He has published 20 International journals papers in leading SCI/ SCOPUS Indexed journals and 34 papers in International conferences; he is co-author for four book chapters and edited one book. He is reviewer of reputed international journals. He has received several awards including Doctoral Scholarship and Best Paper Award. K.M.A.K. Kulatunga is an academic, researcher and consultant in the area of Sustainable Manufacturing, Climate Change mitigation and Green Logistics and Supply Chain Management over thirteen years of experience in local and foreign assignments. Provide research, consultancy and training services to the manufacturing sector and other local and foreign institutes. Expert in the areas of Life Cycle Assessment, Eco-innovation / Eco Design and Green Logistics and Supply Chain Management. More than 8 years of experience in UNIDO and UNEP initiated projects. Promoter of Sustainable Consumption and Production and Accredited Professional of Green Building Council of Sri Lanka ad Member of Europe Roundtable for Sustainable Consumption and Production (MERSCP)IR. Mohamed Thariq Bin Haji Hameed Sultan is a Professional Engineer (PEng) registered under the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), Charted Engineer registered with the board of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers United Kingdom, currently attached with Universiti Putra Malaysia as a Director of Aerospace Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC), Faculty of Engineering, UPM Serdang, Selangor, Malaysia. Being a Director of AMRC, he is also appointed as an Independent Scientific Advisor to Aerospace Malaysia Innovation Centre (AMIC) based in Cyberjaya, Selangor, Malaysia. He received his Ph.D. from University of Sheffield, United Kingdom. His area of research includes Hybrid Composites, Advance Materials, Structural Health Monitoring and Impact Studies. He has published more than 100 International journal papers. Currently, he an Associate Professor in the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia. J. Paulo Davim received the Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1997, the M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1991, the Mechanical Engineer degree (MEng-5 years) in 1986, from the University of Porto (FEUP), the Aggregate title (Full Habilitation) from the University of Coimbra in 2005 and the D.Sc. from London Metropolitan University in 2013. He is Eur Ing by FEANI-Brussels and Senior Chartered Engineer by the Portuguese Institution of Engineers with a MBA and Specialist title in Engineering and Industrial Management. Currently, he is Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Aveiro, Portugal. He is the Editor in Chief of several international journals, Guest Editor of journals, books Editor, book Series Editor and Scientific Advisory for many international journals and conferences. Presently, he is an Editorial Board member of 25 international journals and acts as reviewer for more than 80 prestigious Web of Science journals. He has also published more than 110 books, 70 book chapters and 400 articles in journals and conferences.
