Besides June and Mike, the book is populated by the old guys Mike talks to at the Y and June's best friend Jane, a sort of fairy godmother who's also a tough old broad from the music business. Jacket Weather collapses ten years of these people telling anecdotes and exchanging recipes and roaming around New York to create an island in time's flow. |
