The history of ink was copyright by Thaddeus Davids & Co. in 1860 and reissued with an additional 7, [1] pages captioned "Notices of the press" (dated April 1856) and an additional [6] leaves with advertisements for Thaddesu Davids & Co's inks.
"Description of the plates," pages 1-4 (second sequence), describes the sixty-six facsimile inscriptions included in plates 1-12.
