| Item Description: | Edited by Revised Charles W. Denison. Issues were bound into yearly volumes to be used as gift books. Title from volume title page. Some wrappers printed in red and black. A rival magazine, The Lady's album (Boston, Mass.) was started by former agents for the Lady's wreath and feloniously substituted for it for some subscribers. It imitated the layout and appearance of the Lady's wreath, assumed its numbering, and blatantly announced "The Wreath has become the Album." Cf. Lady's wreath and young ladies' magazine, June 1845, page [4] of wrapper. |
