Summary:Press photographs used for the magazine "Australian ring", published and edited by Bill O'Loughlin. Cut-out photographic images of predominantly Australian boxing champions (also from Cuba, South Africa, Argentina, United States) in fighting stance, each mounted on matte card, with instructions for printing handwritten on verso e.g. "make neg, 2 8x10 prints, 6 postcards". Most boxers, some 19th century, identified on verso in same hand.

The Balmain Working Men's Institute image is a newspaper cutting [source unidentified] with the printed caption "Tommy Uren, the Australian Welterweight Champion, who also won the Middleweight Championship and the Referee Championship belt on Saturday by defeating Fred Kay.
