The San Francisco 8 were eight former Black Panthers who were arrested in January 2007 for their alleged involvement in the 1971 murder of Sgt. John V. Young at Ingleside Police station. A federal court ruled in 1974 that both San Francisco and New Orleans police had engaged in torture to extract confessions, and a San Francisco judge had dismissed charges against three men in 1975 based on that ruling. The poster shows a black man with his head covered and electric prods being used on his genitals. |
