[Christ crucified: or, The marrow of the Gospel : evidently holden forth in LXXII sermons, on the whole 53. chapter of Isaiah. Wherein the text is clearly and judiciously opened up, and a great many most apposite, profoundly spiritual and very edifying points of doctrine in a dilectable variety drawen from it; with choice and excellent practical improvements made of them. Wherein also several adversaries of the truth, as Socinians, papists, arminians and Antinomians, are smartly, solidly and succinctly reasoned with and refuted. Wherein, moreover many errours in practice incident to professours otherwise sound and orthodox in their opinions are discovered; and not a few grave, deep, and very concerning cases of conscience, soberly and satisfyingly discussed. By that able minister of the New Testament Mr. James Durham, sometime minister of the gospel at Glasgow, and solemnly called to a publick profession of divinity in the University there, and also His Maiesties Chaplain in Ordinary when he was in Scotland.].
