Authorship of the Eikon basilike was originally attributed to Charles I, but according to Madan (pp. 125-33) it was written by John Gauden who probably included some authentic writings of the king.
Printer's name from Madan; place of publication from Wing; date of publication in imprint given according to Lady Day dating.
Signatures: N² B-M¹² N⁴ (-N4). Last leaf blank; not filmed? (compare Madan).
This issue has misspelling in 2nd epigraph: "argere" instead of "agere".
Frontispiece plate bound between contents leaf and text, identified as Madan numbers 14.
