| Item Description: | Attributed to Andrew Marvell by Wing. An answer to Samuel Parker's "A preface shewing what grounds there are of fears and jealousies of popery" contained in "Bishop Bramhall's Vindication of himself and the episcopal clergy," which was answered by Richard Leigh in "The transposer rehearsed.". Appears to consist of the sheets of the "second impression with additions and ammendments," but with a title page which is not mentioned by Wing or by D.I.B. Smith in the introduction to his edition of the Rehearsal Transpros'd. A second part was published the following year. Identified as Wing M880 on UMI microfilm set "Early English books, 1641-1700". Reproduction of the original in the Christ Church Library, Oxford. |
