"The history of the life and death of the holy Jesus" is in three parts, each with a separate dated title page, parts 2 and 3 dated 1683; the whole preceded by a general title page reading in part, "The great exemplar of sanctity and holy life according to the Christian institution; .. The seventh edition." Part 1 has added caption title on pages 1: The life of our blessed lord and saviour Jesus Christ.
"Antiquitates Apostolicæ or, The lives, acts and martyrdoms of the holy Apostles of our Saviour", by William Cave, has separate pagination and register and a separate title page dated 1684, lacking an edition statement.
"An apparatus or discourse introductory to the whole work", by William Cave, is headed by a caption title on pages I.
Each book includes an imprimatur dated Feb. 25. 1674.
"The great exemplar of sanctity and holy life" includes a frontispiece portrait of Jeremy Taylor, a preface entitled, "An exhortation to the imitation of the life of Christ", and an index.
The text of "Antiquitates Apostolicæ" is complete despite the pagination.
