An Act to enforce and render more effectual an Act made in the twenty fifth year of His present Majesty's reign, intituled, An Act for annexing certain forfeited estates in Scotland to the crown unalienably; and for making satisfaction to the lawful creditors thereupon; and to establish a method of managing the same, and applying the rents and profits thereof, for the better civilizing and improving the highlands of Scotland, and preventing disorders there for the future.
The reasons for sustaining the claims of personal creditors of forfeiting persons, tho' the bonds and other vouchers of the debts were not upon record before committing the treason. As the same were pled before, and humbly offered to the Honourable Commissioners and Trustees of the forfeited estates in Scotland, in the case of the governour and Company of the Bank of Scotland their claim upon the estates of Southesque and Balnamoon, by the counsel for the said governour and company.
