The most and best approved method of ordering, dieting, exercising, purging, scowering, and cleansing of horses; also choice restoratives to cheer the heart, procure an appetite, and to clear the lungs and pipes, so as to strengthen the wind, and give large breath to the running or race-horse. II. A certain sure method to know the true state of any horse's body as to sickness or health. III. The true shape of a horse explained; with choice directions as to buying. IV. An experienced and approved method of raising horses, as to ordering, keeping, &c. Also mares, colts and stallions. V. A sure and certain rule to know the age of any horse, from one year to ten, with good observations as he advances in years. VI. The gentleman or traveller's pocket-farrier, and horseman's tutor : Directing how a horse should be used on a journey. Together with proper remedies for such misfortunes as may befal him on the road. Likewise some useful directions towards the chusing and buying of horses. As also, certain rules to know the age of any horse; with instructions whereby the buyer may (if carefully observ'd) prevent being impos'd upon (as they too frequently are) by jockies and dealers. To which is added, several curious and very necessary observations, and the most proper and valuable receipts from the best authors: together with a true description of the farcin and glanders, worthy to be taken notice of by all lovers of horses.

Farriery improved : or, a compleat treatise upon the art of farriery. Wherein is fully explain'd the nature, structure, and mechanism of that noble and useful creature, a horse; the diseases and accidents he is liable to, and the methods of cure. Set down in as clear and intelligible manner as the subject will admit of. The use and abuse of the science discover'd; whereby any gentleman may be able to judge for himself, whether or no he is imposed upon by ignorant grooms, and other pretenders to this art.
