Humble pleadings : For the good old-way or a plain representation of the rise, grounds and manner of several contendings of the Reverend Mr. John Hepburn (minister of the Gospel at Orr in Galloway) and his adherents (a considerable body of people in the south and west) against many sins and defections in the establishment and proceedings of the church and state of Scotland, about and since the revolution. In two parts, the first containing (after a succinct declaration of their principles) an account of many of their grievances. The second containing a true relation of the manner and way of their contendings, with an hint of the treatment they met with. Collected and published by the foresaid people.

The national convenant, or The confession of faith, of the Kirk of Scotland : subscribed at first by the King's Majesty and his household, is in the year 1580. Thereafter by persons of all ranks, in the year 1581, by ordinance of the Lords of the Secret Council, and Acts of the General Assembly. Subscribed again by all sorts of persons in the year 1590, by a new Ordinance of Council, at the desire of the General Assembly; with a general bond for maintainance of the time religion, and the Kings person.
