Thomason E.196[18] has the caption title: "The first speech made by Sir Edward Deering in the house of Commons" on the first page of text. Thomason E.196[19] is "The second speech". Thomason E.196[20] is "The third speech". Thomason E.196[21] is entitled: "The Speeches of Sr. Edward Deering in the High Court of Parliament", and is followed by a page of text with the caption title: "The fourth speech". "The Speeches of Sr. Edward Deering in the High Court of Parliament" has separate dated title page; pagination and register are continuous. Annotation on Thomason copy: "before ye 23 novemb 1640" on title page; "novemb: 23. 1640." on 'The Second Speech'; "1640" on 'The third Speech'. Reproduction of the original in the British Library.
