The last of a series of 11 pamphlets, commonly known as the "Eliot tracts," published in London from 1643 to 1671 in the interests of missionary work among the Indians of New England. The present tract was issued by the "Company for propagation of the gospel in New England and the parts adjacent in America," the successor to the "Corporation for the promoting and propagating the gospel of Jesus Christ in New England," which published several of the earlier tracts.
