Imprint from colophon; the title page has a woodcut of Chaucer's arms with "1560" at the top. "The Caunterburie tales" and "The romaunt of the rose" each has separate divisional title; foliation and register are continuous. Another state of the edition with title page reading "The workes .. 1561". The title page and prologue to the Canterbury Tales in this state are printed on A⁶ with no illustrations.
