The title page comes in four states: (1) as above, lacking printer's name; (2) as above; (3) a cancel, lacking "fourth tome" and printer's name, with (a) "command" or (b) "commaund". With an additional title page, engraved, with imprint including the printer's name (not found in state 3). "Historicall obseruations vpon the fower principall passions" has separate dated title page; pagination and register are continuous. With three final contents leaves, an index, and an errata leaf.
