"An explanation of the meaning of the Oath and Covenant. .. London, printed by His Majesties printer for Scotland, anno Dom. 1639" by James Hamilton, Duke of Hamilton, has separate title page and pagination; register is continuous. The title page verso has the Duke's arms. Variant: lacking the arms.
A variant of the edition with "sold at the Gun in Ivie-lane" in imprint; bookseller's name from STC.
Identified as STC 22001 on UMI microfilm reel 1291; the "Explanation" separately identified as STC 12727 on reel 1025.
