| Item Description: | "All seamen who have entered on any first, second, or third rate ship of war since 3 December last to have a bounty of six weeks' pay, to be paid before they sail from the 'Bouy of the Nore', provided they are on board within 12 days, with leave they may stay till 20 days; if they are on board before 20 February next a bounty of one month's pay. The same applies to new volunteers. Conduct money allowed to volunteers." -- Steele. At end of text: Given at Our court at Kensington the fifteenth day of January, 1690.
