Item Description:	The Book of common order of the Church of Scotland. Includes music. Includes index. In two parts. 'The Psalmes of David' has a separate dated title page, imprint and register. Includes on b1r: The Confession of faith, used and received in the English Congregation at Geneva: approved by the Kirk of Scotland. Includes "An almanacke for XXIV yeeres". Title within border (variant or copy of McK. and Ferg. 194, containing printer's initials in shield at foot, and sword voided from shield at upper left); t.p. to Psalmes... has border of printers' ornaments and title vignette, a thistle. Signatures: a-d⁸ A-2G⁸. "The song of Moses" (Deuteronomy XXXII) is translated by James Melville. The intitials J.M. are printed at the foot of this section, on the recto of Ff7.
