Description
Summary:The sculptures of British artist Anthony Cragg aim to assert themselves within the environment, and in this sense they position themselves as objects independent of it. And yet, they are not as all indifferent to it. Within the discrete, essential architecture of the Museo Nivola, which recently hosted Cragg?s solo exhibition, and against the background of the landscape that surrounds it, they acquire a centripetal force that attracts the elements around and multiplies them. The form is echoed in the shapes of the hills and rocks, simultaneously generating surprise and familiarity.00Exhibition: Nivola Museum, Orani, Sardinia, Italy (30.06. - 30.09.2018).
