Summary:This research evaluated the impact performance of the TxDOT short span short radius guardrail system according to the safety-performance evaluation guidelines included in American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, entitled Manual for Assessing Safety Hardware (MASH) for Test Level Three (TL 3). This report describes the TxDOT short-span short-radius guardrail system, documents the impact performance of the guardrail system according to MASH TL3 evaluation criteria and presents recommendations for implementation.
