Description
Summary:The purpose of research project 0-6892 was (a) to compare project performance tools developed in the recently completed National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) Project 20-84 against processes and schedules at the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), and (b) to expand the national research by including a risk-based approach for conducting what-if scenarios and sensitivity analyses. TxDOT terminated the 0-6892 research early because ofthe possibility of potential overlap between the research deliverables and a new enterprise-level initiative to manage construction projects by tracking a large number of date stamps, including critical date stamps related to the acquisition and delivery of real property interests. This report summarizes activities completed and lessons learned while the 0-6892 research project was active.
