It provides a brief overview of the adaptation options of resistance, resilience, and transition, and describes how to incorporate these ideas into natural resource planning, as well as providing definitions and descriptions of mitigation and restoration. This module was designed to make climate change adaptation principles approachable to the general public and busy professionals, but also facilitate a greater understanding and depth through interactive features. A regionally relevant activity follows the main material, and users who complete the activity will receive a personalized certificate. This course can be used to help satisfy Forest Service climate change educational requirements. |
