A great part was written by Charles Molloy. Letters and essays originally published 28 Sept. 1728-25 Dec. 1731. Head- and tail-pieces; initials. Frontispieces for each volume depicts actors. Pagination: Volume 1: xii, 274 pages, pages 49-50, 1 unnumbered leaf of plates ; Volume II: 8 unnumbered pages; 290 pages, 7 unnumbered pages, 1 unnumbered leaf of plates. Includes indexes. The Cushing Library/Rare Books copies were acquired as part of the Lois Goddard Morrison Collection of Eighteenth Century Literature. One of the Cushing Library/Rare Books copies has the frontipieces facing the title pages, and is inscribed by Mary Widdrington, 1732. One of the Cushing Library/Rare Books copies has the frontipieces bound before the title pages, and has bookplates of Wm. Constable, Esq.r F.R.S & F.A.S., and Lois Goddard Morrison. |
