"A Mass for Our Lady of Loreto composed by Erasmus at the request of Thiébaut Biétry, priest of Porrentruy in Switzerland. First printed by Froben in 1523, the successful reception of the work prompted Erasmus to enlarge it, with this second edition printed in May 1525 by Froben being the first to include an additional homily and new preface dedicated to Biétry. Printed around the same time was Girolamo Angelita's Lauretanae Virginis historia (c.1525), the first book to examine the miraculous history of the shrine house at Loreto, reputed to have been mysteriously "translated" to Italy from Nazareth."--From vendor's information.
