Item Description:	Appears in: Braun and Hogenberg's Civitates orbis terrarvm, volume 2, plate 44. Latin letterpress text on verso. "44." --on verso Relief shown pictorially. Oriented with north towards right side of image. Includes index to key buildings, illustration of local costume, and 2 coat-of-arms. Engraving was based on a woodcut view published in Sebastian Munster's Cosmographia. The Cushing Library/Ronald L. and V. Jane Woellhof Rare Map Collection copy was printed after three corners of the copperplate had broken off. The Cushing Library/Ronald L. and V. Jane Woellhof Rare Map Collection copy includes a large coat of arms watermark.
