The text records the purchase by Shove of a share in his father's utensils and details the terms under which they were to work together from their premises, including arrangements for the division and distribution of profits, prohibition of either to trade outside of their partnership, their joint responsibility for servants and journeyman, the management of apprentices, and detailed provision for the keeping of all manner of business records for accounting purposes.
