Summary:This documentary is a "memorial" on friendship between two "outcusts" in Nazi Germany: half-Jewish Ralph Giordano and Hans Jürgen Massaquoi, born in Hamburg to a white German mother and a Liberian Vai father, who was one of the very few German-born children of German and African descent in all of Nazi Germany. The grandson of the Liberian consul general to Germany, Momulu Massaquoi, Hans Jürgen miraculously escaped Nazi persecution and dreamed of joining the Hitler Youth, but he was often shunned and his skin color made him a target for racist abuse. In 1948, Hans Jürgen Massaquoi emmigrated to United States, Ralph Giordano stayed in Germany. Half-century later, they met in Hamburg to discuss their childhood memories of beeing "non-Aryan" kids, their ideas and role models (American boxer Joe Louis) and how the racial descrimination affected their lives.
