Thomas Kielty Scherman (1917-1979) was an American conductor, pianist and the founder of the Little Orchestra Society. He was the son of Harry Scherman, founder and president of the Book of the Month Club. The Cushing Library/Rare Books copy contains the original wrapper. The Cushing Library/Rare Books copy was acquired as a lot of prints by Hans Alexander Müller which contained the images cataloged separately as [Illustrations for Don Quixote, 1941 Random House edition], Ex libris Book of the Month Club, and Ex libris Scherman, II Fassung. |
